GRANT BEATT:
Originally from Durban, South Africa. Grant earned his Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and Landscape Design from Virginia Tech in 1989. He returned to Durban, South Africa, to join a top landscape-contracting firm. In 1991, he traveled to Rochester, New York, where he worked as an Arborist and Landscape Designer/Consultant for 7 years.
In 1997, Grant moved to Sarasota and helped build the maintenance division at Hazeltine Nurseries. Grant left to start his own business in 2000. In seven short years, with the help of his wife, Danielle, and Partner, Glenn Souza, they have grown into a multi-million dollar company with 65+ employees and growing.
Grant holds the following certifications:
· Certified Arborist with International Society of Arboriculture
· Certified Pest Control Operator in the State of Florida
· Florida Green Industries Best Management Practices Certification
· Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association Certified Horticulture Professional ------ (FCHP)
· Registered Landscape Contractor
GLENN SOUZA:
Originally from New England, Glenn started his career with 'Young's Landscaping' on Longboat Key at the age of 18. After obtaining 15 years experience of high end residential, commercial installation and maintenance he joined Grants Gardens as a partner. With extensive knowledge of landscape design, irrigation, pest control and fertilization, Glenn has vast amount of local knowledge in Florida's premier landscape contracting. Glenn holds certifications in Florida Green Industries Best Management Practices, Florida Pest Control Id cardholder, and is a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture.
